Time Regulation Institute, which was completed in 1961, is among the pioneers of the postmodern understanding in Turkish novel. The book focuses on the clock-time-human relations between Clockmaker Nur Efendi, the old British wall clock Mubarak and Halit Ayarcı. The work, which reveals the vacillating situation of Turkish society between Eastern and Western civilizations, is still among the most talked about Turkish novels today.
