Karagöz artist Metin Özlen passed away at the age of 82 in our Ümraniye Training and Research Hospital, where he was treated in the intensive care unit. He passed away from the curtain of dreams to the eternal realm. I wish God’s mercy on him and condolences to his fans.”
Özlen, who brought the plays “Ferhat ile Şirin” and “Leyla ile Mecnun” to the screen of dreams once again, in her 24 years of artistic life. While receiving many awards at home and abroad, it was awarded the “Living Human Treasures” award from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in 2008.
