Big Award for Hit The Road at the London Film Festival

The winner of the 2021 London Film Festival competition was Panah Panahi’s Hit The Road. Hit The Road, the first cinema of 37-year-old Iranian director Panahi, left the festival with the ‘Most Appropriate Film’ award.

Hassan Madjooni’s story garnered acclaim

An energetic boy (Rayan Sarlak) in a drama-type movie set in the claustrophobic (fear of enclosed space) space of a car and his grumpy father (Hassan Madjooni), whose leg is broken.

Hit the Road cinema won the ‘Playground’ First Cinema Award, directed by Laura Wandel, at the festival where it was selected as ‘The Best Film’.

The Becoming Cousteau documentary directed by Liz Garbus was selected as the ‘Best Documentary’, while the winner of the ‘Three Dimensional Art and XR’ competition was Only Expansion.

Diana Cam Van Nguyen’s Love, Dad won the ‘Most Appropriate Short Film Award’, while Mounia Akl’s Costa Brava, Lebanon movie won the ‘Audience Award’.
