The Holi Festival, which is celebrated on March 18 every year, will again be flooded with thousands of visitors. It is declared as the most colorful and biggest holiday in India. Holi, which has been celebrated for centuries (since the 4th century AD), is one of the traditions that not only those who adopt the Hindu view, but also everyone who has different beliefs from the world and wants to get lost in the colors. The festival, which has many meanings in mythology, is a colorful festival celebrated with the arrival of spring after the winter months.

In fact, they don’t just celebrate the warming weather and spring this holiday. On Holi, everyone presents their wishes in the new year with the color of their choice, since in Indian mythology it means that proficiency becomes awful. According to another belief, one of the meanings of this holiday is that the evil King Hiranya Kashyap got it from his evil-hearted sister Holika, and King Hiranya Kashyap prepares a devilish trap with his brother Holika to defeat his son Prahlada, who opposes him and chooses righteousness. Holika, one of her special powers, who is not affected by fire, tricks her niece Prahlada onto a pile of firewood. When the woods are set on fire to kill Prahlada, Holika, symbolizing the awfulness, loses all her power at that moment and burns, but Prahlada, who chooses neatness, gets rid of the flames in this way. To remember this legend, fires are lit on the night of the full moon that starts Holi, and it is thought that neatness will always prevail over lousyness.

One of the Holi beliefs is the awful Putana, when he was a baby, he made him drink his own milk to poison Krishna. Krishna, who turned blue after that, thought that no one would love him because of this, while Radha painted his face blue like him and they began to have an epic love for languages. It is believed that being painted in color during the celebrations is a reference to the love of Radha and Krishna. Holi for children starts 10 days in advance with balloons filled with colored water. However, the main celebration begins with prayers on the night of the full moon, and the next day, the festivity continues with everyone throwing colored powder and balloons filled with colored water at each other.

Although it is a Hindu tradition, there are those who want to participate in this festival from all over the world, and even special varieties are organized during this period.
