A lawsuit was filed against 92-year-old landlord Naim Akgün, who broke the door of the house where his Syrian tenant lived in Bayrampaşa with an ax, on charges of “violating the immunity of residence with a gun”, demanding a prison sentence of 1 to 4 years.
In the indictment prepared by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, it was stated that the accused Naim Akgün (92), the victims Amina Hasan and Rahaf Shaham Kabaa , were the owners of the house where they lived as tenants.
In the indictment, it is stated in the indictment that the accused went to the house where the victims were sitting on 11 January with an ax in his hand due to their failure to pay the rent, and it is told that the accused Akgün, who broke the door and entered the apartment, damaged the doors and windows of the flat.
The indictment states that one of the victims, Hasan, gave up his complaint, but Kabaa’s complaint continues, and it is recorded that the defendant admitted his guilt in his statement.
In the indictment, where it was stated that the ax in the hand of the accused was considered a weapon, according to the whole file, the defendant was sentenced to imprisonment from 1 to 4 years for the crime of ” violating the immunity of residence with a gun”.
Decision of non-prosecution against the accused’s son
A decision of non-prosecution was rendered for the accused Naim Akgün and his son İhsan Akgün for the crime of “damaging property”, and for İhsan Akgün for the crime of “violating the immunity of residence”.
The indictment, which was approved by the Attorney General’s Office, was accepted by the court.
The trial of the accused Akgün will begin in the criminal court of first instance in the coming days.
