“I am a Woman” exhibition, which aims to focus on women’s problems and raise awareness in society, was presented to art lovers at Nişantaşı Art 212.
Bringing together Ayla Ibar, Berfin Kıyıcı, Şela Yener and Servil Değirmenci from different professions in the same project and curated by Dr. The exhibition “‘m a Woman”, opened by Feride Çelik, opened in Nişantaşı Art 212. The exhibition, which impresses around 80 works created with ceramics and mixed media, can be visited by art lovers until 6 April.
Curator Dr. Feride Çelik gave the following expressions for the exhibition where art meets women:
“Woman is probably the most common figure and subject in song lyrics, famous paintings in the history of art, films, novels, and works of artists . I wonder why the woman who is a woman in real life does not matter in real life? into a sexual object. In short, we cannot get rid of the sense of discrimination that comes from our cultural coding. From this perspective, we can hear every work in the exhibition calling us “I’m a Woman” ”
