International Day of Flamenco celebrated bitterly

Reminding that 95 percent of flamenco artists make a living from shows in flamenco halls called tablaos, Del Rey said, “The survival of these artists is guaranteed. Del Rey noted that the draft law, which was discussed in the Spanish parliament and aimed to protect the art of flamenco, would be the first step to be taken for the reinforcement they expected.

Belen Lopez, who has been shown as one of the best flamenco dancers in Spain in recent periods, took the stage within the scope of the event where valuable names from the world of politics, business and art were hosted.

On the occasion of the International Flamenco Day, the image prepared by a group of flamenco dancers was introduced in the Prado Museum in Madrid.
