Longines Spirit collection is now adding a brand new multi-time zone watch with the pioneering spirit of the brand to the finest detail. Displaying different time zones, this timepiece the legacy of Longines precision timepieces that accompanied the world’s most important pioneers in their legendary discoveries. It takes its design and name from Longines’ first dual time zone display model produced in 1925. On the dial of this model was the Zulu flag, referring to the letter “Z”, which represents the universal time used by aviators and soldiers. With the development of different GMT models, especially for the aviation industry, Longines’ leading role in this field has become even stronger.
The time zone display is powered by the new caliber developed by Longines, with a silicon pendulum. The watch is equipped with cutting-edge technology that allows the hour hand to be adjusted independently of the GMT indicator. Other time zones are indicated by a reversible rotating bezel and 24-hour hand marked with a 24-hour zone. This extraordinarily precise new movement, with up to 72 hours of reserve power, is certified chronometer by the COSC (Swiss Official Stopwatch Testing Institute). On the dial, there is a five-star stamp, which is considered to be the indicator of the highest quality movement in Longines history.
Glossy, matte, polished or embossed Longines Spirit Zulu Time models stand out in terms of aesthetics with their meticulous craftsmanship and meticulous details. This model comes with a bezel adorned with colored ceramic inserts and a matte black, sand-patterned anthracite or blue sun-patterned dial. The watch also has a date aperture now aligned at 6 o’clock. The hands and numerals coated with Super-LumiNova® allow the watch to be read in all conditions.
