Prada expands its sustainability initiative to raise awareness of the oceans’ purity. Announcing that they have expanded the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission project, which they partnered with UNESCO in 2019 for World Water Day, with a training program called “Beyond the Sea”, Prada will launch initiatives under three different themes throughout 2022 for children aged three to six and the employees of the company. The winning projects from Prada and UNESCO’s ocean initiative will be announced in Lisbon on 29 June and will be announced during a special event as part of the United Nations Ocean Conference moderated by Brazilian marine activist Patricia Furtado de Mendonça. Prada and UNESCO will award three prizes, with a total of 5,000, 3,000 and 2,000 euros, respectively, to the top three schools that will invest in educational materials.
