1000-year-old historical objects, paintings and manuscripts were put up for sale at the auction titled “The Islamic World and Indian Arts” held in London, the capital city of England. Metal works from the 13th century, 2 pairs of diamond and emerald Mughal glasses, a gilded Quran, astronomical instruments, Iranian miniatures and a Polonez carpet were also among the works at the auction.

The painting was sold for 1 million 645 thousand TL

The auction, which also includes Iznik tiles from Turkey, was held by a follower of the Venetian painter Titian. A portrait of Hürrem Sultan, thought to have been made at the end of the th century or the beginning of the 17th century, was also sold.

The building went on sale for £70 thousand, and £100 thousand (1 million 306 thousand TL) was given. The buyer will share 126 thousand pounds (1 million 645 thousand TL) for the photo, including the price of the board.

One of the two portraits of Mihrimah Sultan, daughter of Legal Sultan Süleyman, was sold for 13 thousand 860 pounds (181 thousand TL) including the committee, and the other for 17 thousand 600 pounds (229 thousand TL) . The portrait of Suleiman the Magnificent, on the other hand, found buyers for 11 thousand 340 pounds (148 thousand TL).
